Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on PatternMentor (“the Service”, “we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “you”, “your”) and PatternMentor. By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age and capable of entering into a binding agreement.

2. Description of Service

PatternMentor is a SaaS platform that provides AI-powered content analysis and growth tools for Twitter/X. Our Service includes, but is not limited to:

• Content Scoring & Analysis — AI-powered evaluation of tweet content against X's algorithm signals
• AI Compose & Rewrite — AI-generated content improvements and rewrites
• AI Coaching — Personalized content strategy suggestions
• Reply Guy — Discovery of high-impact reply opportunities with AI-generated suggestions
• Account Pulse & Research — Twitter/X metrics dashboard and account analysis
• Brain Dump & Article Writer — AI-assisted content ideation and long-form generation
• Thread Expansion, Health Check, Inspiration Library — Additional content intelligence tools
• Voice Profiles — Custom writing style profiles for AI-generated content
• Gamification — Achievement and streak tracking for consistent content creation

The Service uses artificial intelligence to provide analyses, suggestions, and content generation. AI models, features, and capabilities may change over time as we improve the Service.

3. Accounts & Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account using a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete registration information
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You may not create multiple accounts, share your account with others, or use another person's account without permission. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Plans & Payment

PatternMentor offers two tiers:

Billing & Subscriptions

• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe, our payment processor
• Your subscription renews automatically each billing cycle unless canceled
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Billing page or Stripe's customer portal
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then

Refunds

We generally do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. However, if you experience a significant service issue, contact us and we will evaluate your request on a case-by-case basis. Refund requests must be made within 14 days of the charge.

Price Changes

We may change our pricing at any time. For existing subscribers, price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle after at least 30 days' notice via email.

5. Twitter/X Integration

Certain features of the Service require connecting your Twitter/X account via OAuth 2.0 (PKCE flow). By connecting your account, you:

• Authorize us to access your Twitter/X profile information, tweets, and engagement metrics through the official Twitter/X API
• Understand that we request read and write access to your account (tweet.read, users.read, tweet.write, offline.access scopes)
• Acknowledge that your Twitter/X access tokens are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) in our database
• May disconnect your Twitter/X account at any time through Settings, which immediately revokes our access

Our use of the Twitter/X API is subject to the X Developer Agreement and Developer Policy. We do not use your Twitter/X data for surveillance, investigation, or any purpose not directly related to providing the Service. We do not sell your Twitter/X data to third parties.

6. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate content suggestions, rewrites, analyses, and coaching. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content is provided for informational and creative assistance purposes only
• AI suggestions do not constitute professional, legal, financial, or marketing advice
• AI output may contain inaccuracies, biases, or factual errors — you are responsible for reviewing and verifying all content before use
• You are solely responsible for any content you choose to post, publish, or share based on AI suggestions
• AI models and their outputs may change over time; consistency of suggestions is not guaranteed
• Content scores and predictions are estimates based on algorithmic analysis, not guarantees of performance

We are not liable for any consequences resulting from your use of AI-generated content, including but not limited to account suspension, loss of followers, or reputational damage on Twitter/X or any other platform.

7. Intellectual Property

Our Property

The Service, including its source code, design, algorithms, scoring methodologies, branding, and documentation, is owned by PatternMentor and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Service.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of any content you create, submit, or import into the Service (including your tweets, drafts, voice profiles, and notes). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (e.g., sending your text to our AI provider for analysis). We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for purposes unrelated to providing the Service.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Spam, harass, or engage in abusive behavior on Twitter/X or any other platform
• Violate Twitter/X's Terms of Service, automation rules, or community guidelines
• Engage in coordinated inauthentic behavior, manipulation, or artificial amplification
• Generate or distribute misleading, deceptive, or harmful content
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or access controls
• Scrape, data-mine, or extract data from the Service for unauthorized purposes
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks
• Impersonate another person or entity

Violation of this Acceptable Use policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without prior notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. This includes, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose
• Content scores or predictions will result in actual growth on Twitter/X
• The Service will be compatible with all browsers, devices, or operating systems

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PatternMentor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, followers, reputation, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy (data deleted within 30 days, backups within 90 days). If you have an active Pro subscription, canceling your subscription through Stripe is separate from deleting your account.

By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, at our sole discretion, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or the Acceptable Use policy. In cases of severe violations (e.g., spamming, abuse, or illegal activity), termination may be immediate and without refund.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes:

• We will notify you via email at least 15 days before the changes take effect
• We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page
• Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms

If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you may close your account before the changes take effect.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without regard to conflict of law principles.

For users within the European Union, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) or General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation 2016/679). You retain all mandatory consumer protection rights provided by the laws of your country of residence.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of São Paulo, Brazil, unless mandatory local consumer protection laws require otherwise.
